How to change the Weapon GripPoint socket

This feature has been added to the template (1.6 and newer), use this tutorial only if your project is still running on an old version (1.0-1.5).


1. Open BP_WeaponBase and create a new Name variable, default text has to be GripPoint


2. Open BP_CharacterBase and in the Equip Weapon function get the equipped weapon, then from it get the Name variable you just created and connect it to the attach nodes.


3. That’s it! You can now type in any socket you want the weapon to be attached to
